Petru the barber has had a love for art from early on. As the second youngest in a big family he had a fond appreciation for creating things. This was due to the fact that as an immigrant from Romania he realized art was a universal language that required no translation. Prior to learning English he was communicating with drawings. His inspiration stems from his mother always creating spectacular paintings at home. As a teenager he constantly doodled on his homework & notes. He had a passion for art however after highschool he fell into construction where his creativity was limited. It was during this time he established a serious work ethic, as well as attention to detail.
At the age of 19 he discovered the world of barbering. Under Bucky’s mentorship & guidance he pursued the craft at full speed. Over the next 4 years Petru relentlessly mastered the art of barbering. He credited his inspiration from the love of doodling, which he translated into his award-winning freestyle designs. Petru learned to perfect styles of all types of hair, as well as all walks of life. Throughout this time his maturity grew as well as his ability to assess the best looks for his clients.
Petru continues to challenge himself on a daily basis & to grow as a barber due to dedication to the craft.
